Reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions by retrofitting an existing building to a net zero energy building for the implementation of SDGs 7 and 13

چکیده
This work aims to reduce the energy consumption of existing buildings through retrofitting and converting them into net zero (NZEBs). Various retrofits for an academic building were modeled analyzed using REVIT software. Energy was reduced approximately 34% retrofits, a Solar System 41.6 kW integrated meet demand, consequently (NZEB). Furthermore, environmental economic analyses conducted, results show reduction 32.8 metric tons CO 2 emissions per year as result building, it building. The envelope electrical appliances have payback period 2.96 2.62 years, respectively, whereas proposed has only 2.3 years.
